Rigid Photopolymers
For housings, enclosures, structural appearance features and detailed surfaces.
Rigid materials such as the Vero family can reproduce fine geometry and a range of visual finishes. ABS-like photopolymers may simulate selected characteristics of molded plastics but are not equivalent to production ABS.
Review priorities: Surface detail, color, dimensional interfaces and finished appearance.
Rubber-Like Photopolymers
For soft grips, buttons, flexible surrounds and selected tactile features.
Materials such as Agilus30 can simulate rubber-like characteristics. The resulting feel depends on material formulation, geometry, wall thickness and the selected material combination.
Review priorities: Softness, contact surfaces, material boundaries and expected handling.
Clear and Translucent Photopolymers
For windows, display covers, light-transmitting features and transparent visual models.
Material choice and post-processing influence the final clarity. Polishing and finishing access should be considered during design review.
Review priorities: Viewing direction, optical appearance, wall thickness and surface finish.
Multi-Material Combinations
Compatible rigid and flexible materials can be incorporated into one prototype to represent contrasting product regions.
Color, hardness, transparency and mechanical behavior may influence one another. The proposed combination should be checked against the selected printing system and the intended evaluation.
Material availability: Specific grades, including Vero and Agilus30 variants, are confirmed during project review.
