Q1What type of company is GPT Precision?

GPT Precision is a Hong Kong–owned company with two subsidiaries in mainland China. The company is registered in Hong Kong, while its headquarters, finance department, and project management team are based in Songgang, Shenzhen. Our manufacturing facility is located in Dongguan.

Q2How large is your company?

Our manufacturing facility covers more than 4,000 square meters and employs over 120 people. It houses a comprehensive range of equipment for precision machining and related manufacturing processes.

Q3What manufacturing services does GPT Precision provide?

We provide precision CNC machining, CNC turning, Swiss-type automatic turning, CNC milling, gun drilling, internal and external cylindrical grinding, polishing, engraving, surface texturing, precision inspection gauge and fixture manufacturing, metal plating, and other surface treatments.

We can support projects from mold development and prototyping through production and final delivery.

Q4What materials can you machine?

We work with a broad range of metals and engineering plastics. Common grades include:

  • Titanium alloys: Ti-6Al-4V, TA1, TA2, TC4, Grade 1 titanium, and 6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo.
  • Mold and structural steels: P20, 718, 8407, NAK80, H13, S136, 1.2738, 1.2344, SUM-series free-cutting steels, 12L14, Q235, 40Cr, GCr15, and SKD11.
  • Stainless steels: SUS 303, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 416F, 420F, 430F, 440C, 630, and 17-4 PH.
  • Copper and copper alloys: C3602, C3604, H59Pb-1, H62, and tin bronze.
  • Aluminum alloys: 2011, 2024, 5052, 6061, 6063, 6082, and 7075.
  • Nickel: Nickel 200 / UNS N02200.
  • Engineering plastics: ABS, PBT, POM, PTFE, PPS, PEI, PEEK, PA66, PP, PETP, and other engineering plastics.
Q5Can you provide material certificates and heat-treatment reports?

Yes. Material certificates and heat-treatment reports can be provided upon request.

Special processes such as surface texturing, engraving, heat treatment, and nitriding are performed by qualified long-term processing partners.

Q6Which quality certifications does GPT Precision hold?

GPT Precision holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and IATF 16949:2016 certifications.

The company maintains profitable operations, carries no outstanding debt, and has a stable financial position.

Inspection & Acceptance

How requirements are reviewed, materials are checked and finished parts are verified.

Q7What quality-control process do you follow?

We use a three-stage quality-control system throughout each project:

  1. Design and quotation review: Our engineers conduct a Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis to identify potential risks and recommend improvements before production.
  2. Incoming material inspection: Raw materials are verified using our in-house Positive Material Identification (PMI) spectrometer.
  3. Final inspection: Parts undergo quality inspection before shipment, and an inspection report is provided.
Q8What machining tolerances can you achieve?

Unless otherwise specified, our general tolerances follow ISO 2768-1:

  • Metals: tolerance class f
  • Plastics: tolerance class m
  • Vacuum-cast parts: tolerance class c

Tighter tolerances may be achievable depending on the material, geometry, feature size, and manufacturing process. Please identify all critical tolerances during the quotation stage so that our engineers can review manufacturability.

What to send, what affects timing and how order progress is communicated.

Q9How quickly can I receive a quotation, and what information should I provide?

Typical quotation lead times are within 24 hours for prototypes and rapid tooling, and within three business days for injection molding, production orders, and export tooling.

Projects involving special materials or outsourced processes may require additional time. We will advise you in advance if the quotation period needs to be extended.

For the fastest and most accurate quotation, please provide a STEP or IGES 3D model, a 2D engineering drawing showing critical dimensions and tolerances, the material grade, order quantity, and estimated annual usage. For 3D-printing projects, please provide an STL or OBJ file.

Q10Can you provide samples before I place a production order?

Yes. Samples can be produced using either soft tooling or hard tooling, depending on the project requirements.

Sample charges are calculated according to material, labor, and shipping costs. Samples valued at less than USD 10 may be provided free of charge. Customers may use their own DHL, FedEx, or UPS account, or ask us to arrange shipment.

Q11What is your standard lead time, and how can I track my order?

The typical lead time for standard parts is 7–15 days. The final schedule depends on part size, geometry, complexity, quantity, material, and finishing requirements.

We provide regular production status reports, and customers may contact us at any time for an order update. Value-added services include custom packaging, product barcode printing, and export-standard packing.

Q12What happens if the delivered parts do not meet my requirements?

Please contact us promptly if you identify an issue after receiving your parts. Depending on the findings, we will arrange rework or replacement.

When an investigated quality issue is confirmed to be our responsibility, GPT Precision will cover the associated correction and replacement costs.

Q13Who pays for mold modifications?

Minor mold adjustments are generally provided free of charge.

For major modifications, GPT Precision covers costs caused by our manufacturing or engineering work. The customer covers costs resulting from customer-provided design changes or errors. Costs are shared when both parties contributed to the issue.

The scope, responsibility, cost, and schedule will be confirmed before major modification work begins.

Q14Which payment methods and terms do you accept?

We accept bank transfers to our Hong Kong or mainland China accounts, PayPal subject to a 4% transaction fee, and Letters of Credit (L/C).

Our standard payment terms are a 50% deposit with the order and the remaining 50% before shipment. Alternative payment arrangements may be discussed based on the project and order requirements.

Q15What shipping terms and packaging options do you offer?

Our standard trade term is FOB Shenzhen (Incoterms® 2020). FOB Hong Kong terms are also available upon request.

Through our freight-forwarding partners in Hong Kong, we can arrange international express, air-freight, and sea-freight services. Domestic molds are supplied with standard protective packaging. Export parts and molds are packed in accordance with international shipping requirements.
